Today (last night actually) our poor dog Roo died by accidentally running onto a big highway and getting hit by a car. Although, my last vision of Roo was his little squashed body lying there hopelessly on the road I would like him to leave this world in a brighter light. Roo was a wild, hyper dog that loved to bark and bark all night long at everything including the wind. He was a great rat catcher and always was good about leaving those sweet little dead creatures by my back door. He loved to dig holes and created quite a piece of work in our backyard that will now have to be filled in to make mowing easier. He loved to chew on things including my rugs, carpet, socks, couch and of course his dog beds. I would wake up in the morning to find Styrofoam and cotton filling shredded all over the yard knowing Roo got a little crazy during the night and yet I would always run to Wal-Mart to buy him a new one, because I loved him. It was hard finding him this morning as I drove Colton to school and it was even harder to keep Colton distracted by looking at cows on the other side of the street so he wouldn't see the remains of his dog. I will find a way to tell him the bad news but until 3:20 this afternoon he will be believing that Roo ran to Grandmas house to see her dogs. Oh Roo, we will miss you!

Oh Bethany, I'm so sorry. My heart truly goes out to you all, good luck with Colton. Is Stephen there to help console the family? I never got to meet Roo, but I know he will be missed.
Ahh, so sad! I'm sorry...
Sorry about your dog...
