We have been away...
in Hawaii!
we played in the sand (this beach is my in-laws backyard)...
we ate at shrimp trucks... 
we learned about the fascinating life cycle of the pineapple at the Dole Plantation...
we learned how to make fire from the Samoans at the Polynesian Cultural Center...
we bought cold coconuts from a roadside stand (only to learn that coconut juice is not good)...
we enjoyed the native animals at the Honolulu Zoo...
we toured the "Mighty Mo" at Pearl Harbor...
we walked across the "Rainbow Bridge" in Haleiwa for a lot of ...
Aoki's (the best shaved ice on the North Shore)...
we learned how to surf with Buttons Kaluhiokalani (a Hawaiian surf legend)...
we snorkeled a ton, with the sea turtles and the Humuhumunukunukuapuaa (the Hawaiian state fish)...
took a hike to Waimea Falls...
did a little kayaking around...
climbed Diamond Head...
and cried a little when it was time to leave!

So fun! You guys fit in a lot of stuff. I'm glad you had a great time. Maybe sometime you'll get stationed in Hawaii and then we'll come visit!
