CALL ME CHEAP...

Recently, I have become an addict of sorts to an old tradition of couponing. I am now the girl in the store with the coupon holder standing in the middle of each aisle looking through small scraps of paper and the annoying chick holding up the line because the cashier has just been handed a fistful of cut outs. I know... I used to be the customer behind those "coupon freaks" saying to myself how cheap and frugal can a person get. Oh well, now it's me. I have to say that I love it. Unfortunately, I do not live in a town that has a great selection of grocery stores... United... but I do have CVS and Walgreens which I spend most of my time in. The managers now recognize me when I make my weekly stop. Is that good? Well, this weekend I scored great at Walgreens. Each month the store puts out a new coupon book which can be found in the front of the store. The coupon books overlap by two days... both the July and August months coupons still work. So lucky for those of us who pay attention to coupons... both books had diaper coupons for $5/2 packages. If you buy three packages Walgreens gives you a $5.00 coupon too use later in the store... SCORE!

Diapers on sale $5.99

Coupon #1 $5/2 takes $2.50 off each package

Coupon #2 $5/2 takes $2.50 off each package

OOP $0.99
BONUS: Because I bought 3 packages I also received a $5.00 coupon to use in the store... so of course I bought a ton of rebate items. OOP: Nothing
12 packages of diapers for under $15.00 plus bonus money.

So I spent my Friday hitting all the Walgreens in town and stocking up on loads of diapers size 3 on up. It was well worth my time and effort. Of course it made Stephen happy and a happy husband is always nice to have around. :)

Good job on the diapers. Do you get a rush when you get a really good deal, or is that just me? The discounted meat bin is usally at the end of meat section and it will still beat anything you'll buy at Walmart.

I buy my coupons online at these sites
thecouponclippers.com
couponsarecool.com
thecouponmaster.com
because I can be much more specific about which coupons I buy instead of wasting my time cutting coupons that I'm probably never going to use and it seems that in my area I don't get all the coupons other places do so I can go online and get them.
